VON FALKENHAUSENThank youThank you for satisfying my curiosity @ gravestonephotos.com . A lot can be learned from history and I believe gravestones gives us a glimpse into our ancestors life/death. I was keen to find out how my ancestors were buried and I was very glad you had a record from one of them. Seeing this particular gravestone, how ornate it was, makes me understand he did great things. I know some might think it's morbid, to look up gravestones, but I think it's inspiring to see how they were commemorated. Keep up with the excellent work! Thanks again, Val

MASONThanksDear Charles, Many thanks for your prompt and efficient response. Yours is a great initiative and I will certainly search your website in the hope of finding more relevant photos. Strange but seeing the headstone of one's ancestors (john Mason & Mary Ann Hildon) brings them alive, certainly if there is no family photo of them available. Once again thank you so much. Linda

MARGARSONJACK MARGARSONMy husband was thrilled to at last see his Father's gravestone. What a wonderful resource this is, thank you for all your hard work in producing it. We have the grave number, row etc., but seeing the gravestone will make the task of looking for it a whole lot easier in a very large cemetery! Once again, , many thanks.

SHEARWOODFantastic resource for genealogistsCongratulations on your fantastic website, it is a treasure trove for genealogists as memorials can give so much information. I am researching family name Shearwood, in Lincolnshire, UK. The earliest definite ancestor I have found is Joseph Hiram Shearwood, born 1766/1767 whose memorial confirmed that he was a surgeon. I may have found his father, William Shearwood, born c 1716 in Limber Magna (Great Limber), Lincolnshire, but this needs confirmation. Once again, many thanks for your dedication to this resource.

MEEKA useful facilityVery impressed by this website. An excellent initiative for family historians. I asked for a high resolution picture of a possible ancestor and it was available in a few moments. Just in case someone from the Meek 'clan' reads this... I am attempting to track down my great- great-great grandparents Robert Meek and Jane or Jean Meek nee Gowans or Gowns whose son George Meek is noted at West Calder as birth 1.8.1801 and baptised on 16.8.1801.

WILLIAMS Wonderful resourceThankyou for providing such a wonderful resource at no cost (rare these days), to enable everyone the opportunity to access such invaluable information. I hope you can continue to provide this, as although gravestones aren't always able to be maintained at least their information can be retained and stored for the benefit of future researchers.
