HUNNEYBELLWW1 Job S (Sydney) Hunnibell died 1.7.1916 France my 4th cousin once removed. WWI plaque St Marys OlHi, i am researching the Hunneybell family tree which has many different spellings. I have traced it to Old Newton and Finningham, Wickham Skeith in suffolk. My tree is public and is on Ancestry UK and Ancestry Australia. Job Sydney Hunnibell b 1895, was the Son of Charles Hunnibell b Old Newton 1871, who was the son of Thomas Honeybald ,1830 Haughley who was the son of Thomas b 1799 Agworth. I have become stuck at the marriage of William Hunniball b1711 aprox Old Newton and Sarah Balls b1712 suffolk? Sarahs Father was Thomas Balls and her mother was Mary but cannot confirm if mothers name was in fact Bayley as some other trees seem to think.Williams father was Charles b1860 Suffolk? died 1753, and his wife was Elizabeth malham b1680 aprox suffolk d 1720. The surname is hunneybell, hunneyball, hunnibald, hunibell, hunniball on different documents. any information anyone can supply on the origin of the name would be great, can only trace it back to 1680. I am in Victoria Australia, but was born in England, i went over for a visit to see the villages/towns, and visit the churches, but my wife was taken ill and we had to cut our visit short. I plan a trip back next year and will try and do some research while i am there. If anyone wants me to check any Australian records etc, i will be happy to help in any way i can. Thanks for letting me use this web site and all the work you do. best regards, Dave Hunneybell.

ROBSONWW1 information about Herbert John ROBSONBeing a volunteer at the National Archives in London I have accessed Captain Robson's WW1 service records and have seen a photograph of the 18th century book he found in France. Researchers might want to access information via the Discovery catalogue using reference WO 374/58654.

BLAKEWW 1 CasualtiesThanks for the grave stone image.

BATYwrong year of birthSydney Baty was born in 1904 and not 1884. His age of the grave would be 30 not 50. This is because his father Joseph Baty was born in 1870 and his son would not have been born when he was only 14 .... more

BARNACOATWrong relationship assumption.I was delighted to find the gravestone of my G-G-Grandfather and along side was a female of similar age and with the same surname. I guessed sister or sister-in-law. I was totally wrong. A little more digging and I realized that it was his first wife. What a great site this is.

PHILLIPSwrong relationshipOn William Phillips Gravestone(1886-1965) you describe Valerie Phillips as his daughter .She is in fact his sister and my great Aunt

RARITYWrong RarityToday I requested an image, but misread the details of the William Rarity on the grave. That William Rarity could well be a relative, since MY William Rarity was also born in Kirkliston. But my gg Grandfathers were born in 1824 and 1855.Regards Doreen Greenhalgh

MARCHANTWrong link on a couple of imagesHi just to let you know that George Johnson Marchant is listed on grave 372989 instead of 372990 where his name appears on the images. ARTHURS Wrong information Hi, I was looking at the records of my parents grave in Brantham Suffolk. My parents are Dennis Leslie Arthurs and Marion Florence Arthurs. Someone has recorded it wrong. My mother Marion was born in 1936 not 1928. Her name is spelt Marion and not Marrion. Someone has misread it. To clarify, Dennis Arthurs born 1928 died 1988 and Marion Arthurs born 1936 and died 1989. Hope this can be rectified. Thanks for all your hard work, Laurence Arthurs. .... more

VENTRESSWrong imageI received an image from you the other, it must be an absolute nightmare to keep track of everything. But just for your information the photo does much the name requested. I did ask for George Ventress and his wife but I received Edwin Robinson and his wife. It's no problem but I thought I should tell you. Thanks Irene

CHALLANDWrong grave stoneI requested photo for Charles Challand ref 610947 from East Bridgford cemetery and received photo showing Joseph and Sarah Brown burial year was correct. Thanks for a very valuable service.

LAITwrong first name transcribed.GPR Grave # 379490, image name 2821, is listed as Arnold Grafton LAIT and it is actually Harold Grafton LAIT written on the headstone.

TETLEYWrong details Further to my comments about the names on the gravestone of my grandfather Clarence Tetley, and the correct name of his wife. I since learned that Jane, one of my grandmother's sisters was also buried in the same grave, hence the confusion. Clara died in 1977, and Jane about 1988. Her proper name was Margaret Jane Tayler/Taylor, and she never married.

GISHFORD wrong detailsI am writing about Edward Thomas Gishford. So happy to see this site but there are a couple of details not correct. I am his daughter (not unknown) John is my husband (Not son) Cheryl is only daughter in law (not daughter) Can this be fixed please. Thanks Sharyl .... more
