| PRICE | The burial records for St James Church, | The burial records for St James Church, STAUNTON, Worcestershire give all the details but I would dearly like to know if there are gravestones/photos of my relatives buried there. My GGGG grandfather Job PRICE of Staunton Court buried 17 April 1807 55 years. His wife Elizabeth PRICE (nee BARNES) of Staunton Court buried 26 July 1830, 88 years. Their eldest son my GGG grandfather John PRICE of Poole House, Upton on Severn 24 June 1843, 67 years.

| HARPER | William and Ann Harper and sons William and George memorial plaque | Thank you for the excellent reproduction of the Harper family memorial inscription. I have known about the inscription for some time and have searched the graveyard on several occasions without success and assumed that it was a gravestone that was no longer legible or still standing until I found the photo on your site and realised it was actually inside the church and being able to get such a good clear image has saved me another trip to Norwich. | BROOKES | GEORGE | Private George Brookes, Rank Number 4459, born Wrockwardine Wood, Shropshire. Son of William & Eliza Brookes. George had 5 siblings, Emma b 1868, William b 1872, Samuel b 1873, Thomas b 1875 and Florence b 1877.
George's brother Thomas married a Lilian Turner and they had Annie b 1898, Albert b 1902 (my grandad), Gladys b 1904, Horace b 1907, George b 1908 and Norah b 1910.
Private George Brookes was gassed in the First World War, he was discharged from the Army on 26th August 1915 aged 43 years and 84 days. He died on the 29th August 1915.

I am also very impressed at the speed in which my request has been processed. There is so much more to looking at an old or ancient monumental description. I have in the past found it to be a kind of trigger and on one occasion at least when I found that there was no marker at all in a cemetery the unexpected happened. The ancestor at that time wasn't even one of mine, just someone that I had been asked to help find in Australia by someone else in England. Within the week that ancestor's grand-daughter walked into our office and in only a few moments I not only learned who she was but every vital detail about her grand-father.
