HARPER | William and Ann Harper and sons William and George memorial plaque | Thank you for the excellent reproduction of the Harper family memorial inscription. I have known about the inscription for some time and have searched the graveyard on several occasions without success and assumed that it was a gravestone that was no longer legible or still standing until I found the photo on your site and realised it was actually inside the church and being able to get such a good clear image has saved me another trip to Norwich. William Harper the son was actually 32 when he died and not 52 as stated. Thank you again for an excellent service. .... more | 06/08/2017 | 8184 |

METCALF | Helpful photos | This site was very helpful and it is gratifying to see the actual gravestone of my ancestor. Living in Canada, it is not viable for me to go to the graveyards in England to do this research. I truly appreciate the volunteers who have spent so much of their time making it easier of others to track the details of their ancestors' final resting place. Many thanks, Rosemary P | 06/08/2017 | 8181 |

RITCHIE | The Reverend David Ritchie 1762 to 1844 | Being able to view the Gravestone of the Reverend Ritchie will no doubt help no end in a linked search. I am also very impressed at the speed in which my request has been processed. There is so much more to looking at an old or ancient monumental description. I have in the past found it to be a kind of trigger and on one occasion at least when I found that there was no marker at all in a cemetery the unexpected happened. The ancestor at that time wasn't even one of mine, just someone that I had been asked to help find in Australia by someone else in England. Within the week that ancestor's grand-daughter walked into our office and in only a few moments I not only learned who she was but every vital detail about her grand-father. Two months later the grand-daughter was able to call on and see her long lost cousin in Yorkshire. Never give up, Malcolm Hutton | 05/08/2017 | 8176 |
