St Mary Magdelene, Broughton in FurnessBrought in Furness is not, and never has been in Cumberland. Until 1974 it was in Lancashire, in 1974 it became part of Cumbria. .... more

This is an amazing resource and when I requested a copy of the photo of the gravestone, I received it in a matter of hours and the quality is fantastic! WHEATLEYadditional infoWinifred Mary Pickett & Albert Edward Farmer buried in the same grave in Lingfield were siblings. They were born fust over the county border in the Rotherfield/Hartfield/Withyham area. The family, - parents Thomas and Sarah (nee Wheatley) - moved to Lingfield in the early 1900s.
