I moved to the southwest of Scotland a couple of years ago and have mislaid the photographs I took of the stone. The database lists one of the interred as Walter Jonas Mellor. As far as I can see from the photographs there is no evidence that the middle name is Jonas, in fact I believe him to be Walter John Mellor whose death was registered in Ipswich in March 1997. | 02/06/2018 | 9296 |

| BETTANEY | Thomas Bettaney died 1948 | I think Thomas Bettaney's father was George, a blind street musician from Stockport last heard of twice widowed, entirely dependent on charity and living with 10 yr old daughter Lucy in 1911. His daughter Mary was my great grandmother, died in childbirth 1908. My grandmother knew nothing about her maternal family and nobody would talk about them.
