POINTONThank You for your servicesI wish to Thank You all for your assistance in the photography of the graves held in the cemetery. I volunteer when I can to my local society and it is from the efforts of a few that you can assist the many with their family research. The distances in Australia make it hard for people to get to these places to research for themselves.

THORNYCROFTArthur Currer Briggs Memorial.Thank you for the image. Very helpful to see it before I visit. The Sower is obviously derived from and is a variation on Thornycroft's studies for his bronze figure in Kew Gardens. I need to take a cloer look at the angel to make any other connections.

SEDGWICKJohn William SedgwickJohn William Sedgwick and Jane Anne Metcalfe are my maternal grandparents whom I never met. I am bringing my mother's ashes, Roberta Grace Binley, (28.1.1916 to 6.10.2016), to be interred in their grave according to her wishes, this month. I believe Maurice Teasdale Metcalfe who is also buried in Whorlton old graveyard is Jane's brother. Thank you for this facility.

BELLAMYBellamy family historyI came across this site whilst researching the Bellamy side of our family. Lewis Bellamy is one of my great uncles on my maternal side; his mother was Mary Ann Elliott and his father Lewis Bellamy. I cannot find out very much about my great grandfather, according to one of my second cousins, he is supposed to have run off with the lady from the sweetshop!!! So if anyone who reads this is able to help I would greatly appreciate it.

Excellent serviceI have found 7 graves now that are on this site. The thumbnails are perfectly good to use on my Ancestry tree as illustrations of the monument, whilst the detailed photographs, which I do not share with others, permit me to read the full inscription. I have found that my requests for detailed photographs are dealt with within 24 hours. I am very grateful for this most useful service.

22/06/20177886
ThanksThank you very much for your project, and for the images that I have received. I appreciate your desire to know that images have been received, but I would like to point out that I could not find a way to the comments/feedback section without requesting another image. I abandoned my first attempt to acknowledge receipt of my previously requested image and convey my thanks, so I would like to suggest that making the process simpler or more obvious would improve your response rate.
