CUMINGJohn Cuming Excellent resource, thank you Charles, as it is difficult to sort out all of the John Cumings in Devon. This John (1731-1842)I think is father of John (1763-1803) father of Elias Williams Cuming (1799-1882) who came to Canada with son John. If folks know more about these John's and their wives it would be great to here. The Descendants ended up settling in Saskatchewan Western Canada thanks again Charles

SOUTHGATE Herbert William Leonard Southgate Thank you for the link to the picture of his memorial in his local church. Herbert William Leonard Southgate was a Kew Gardens trained gardener, an orchid specialist who was born in East Dereham, Norfolk and enlisted in his county regiment in WW1. As his plaque shows, he was killed in action at the Batlle of Gaza. Prior to Kew, He worked at Rainham Hall and Westonbirt Gardens, Glos. He is remembered on the Kew Gardens staff war memorial.
