DARKINGravestonesThanks to all those doing this important photographic work. Many of us are too old to get 'down south' but it is a help to see someone who may be part of my family tree. Thank you all. Most of the tree seem to be Thomas Albert.

MERCERThank you & Help RequestThank you so much for your quick response to my image request. I am not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I am in search of the cemetery/headstones for Frederick & Laura (Chapman) Mercer. Frederick would be a son and grandson to Joseph and Ambrose Mercer (grave ID 529962). He was born around 1858 in Cranbrook and possibly died in 1941 in Croyden, but cannot say for sure that this is the correct death date or place. Can anyone help me?

25/01/20176939
FOGGONFantastic web site also very fast serviceDear Charles. Thank you so much for your fast reply and the gravestone image which has helped me greatly, unfortunately the James Foggon shown on the headstone is not the one I was hoping to find, having the parents names on it was the the give away. The James Foggon I have in my tree was born in 1820 in Thropton Rothbury and his father was a Thomas Foggon but the mothers name was Ann Young not Isabella, probably related somewhere along the line. Thank you once again for your speedy help. Very kind wishes. William Reay South Yorkshire.

POOLAncestor's GravestoneThank you for your prompt response to my request for a photograph of my grandmother's gravestone. It was remarkably clear considering the gravestone is nearly a hundred years old. Should anyone else be interested in Louisa Pool, her maiden name was Nunn, and my grandfather (William Pool - named on the gravestone) subsequently married my grandmother's sister Minnie in 1925, she died in 1940 in Luton. He himself died in 1975 also in Luton.

He is the husband of Mary Helena Marchant. There is also a Selina Richardson listed on 372990 which doesn't appear on the images and may be incorrect? .... more

GORDONComment on the web SearchI was impressed how easy it was to find the first grave I looked for. Great. However as the database is already huge, so I find other searches difficult. I suggest we need a double search mask; For example: Country and person's name. .... more

18/01/20176907
GLEADHILLThank youMany thanks for making this wonderful resource available and for taking the time and trouble to send links etc. The Eyre headstone photograph is excellent, however the one for Rachel Gleadhill is greyed out half way down. Whether this is just how it was taken, or a fault I do not know.
