I believe the John Thorpe named on the bottom of this headstone was the husband of my 3rd cousin Elizabeth Cowham Dobson from Whitby, who was the youngest daughter of Isaac Dobson who was a fisherman/lifeboatman & lost his life in the Whitby Lifeboat Disaster of 1861.
