HOULDEN | Houlden family of Bristol relationship to Holden family in Suffolk. | My g g g grandfather James Houlden(1784-1854) was baptised as James Holden in Stowlangtoft on 17 Oct 1784, son of John Holden and Eales Mager.
He married in Bristol in 1809 and for reasons unknown changed the spelling of his name to Houlden.
James had a brother baptised as 'Mikle' Holden in Stowlangtoft on 13 Oct 1782. I believe this as the same Michael Holden who married Elizabeth Esling in nearby Tostock in 1805 and they became the parents of Michael Holden(1808-1884). | 01/08/2016 | 6196 |

STILES | Results found | This search has been one of the most satisfying in all my years of researching my family tree. The accuracy and fantastically high speed with ability to enlarge the photo to see the family names has been first class. DOUGLASS | Thank you for your effort | I requested a headstone photo yesterday for my Genaelogy compilation yesterday and got a response today. That's amazing. It is so amazing to find lost relatives you never knew existed. Or even how you are related to famous/infamous historical figures only students learn about today. As a history teacher, having this resource is just another wonderful tool I can use to help my student bring history to life for them. Thanks for what you do! ~Lisa | 19/07/2016 | 6128 |

OXNET | An old man's thanks | I have used the Gravestone Photos on a couple of occasions now and I just have to send my heartfelt thanks to all those involved in this project. My wife and I are now into our 70's and find it difficult to get about as we once used to. I have spent over 14 years researching our family trees and rely now mostly on the online services like Ancestry etc but I have found that the Gravestone Photos add that extra bit of information that brings to life (or should that be death)the person being researched. My sincere thanks again. | 17/07/2016 | 6114 |
THOMPSON | Wonderful Gift to Genealogists | Thank you, Charles, for helping those of us searching for our families. We are descended from Lucy Croft, daughter of Henry Thompson. With sincere appreciation,

FOWLER | Great resource | Dear Charles
Many thanks for your great resources in photos of headstones etc. This has been most helpful because it explains the relationships far better than I had researched. With nearly everybody called John or Elizabeth it is easy to get confused. I have added some christening dates where I have been able to. With much appreciation, Rev | 15/07/2016 | 6097 |
