BRIGGSPhoto downloadThanks for the very useful image. John and Ann Briggs are the maternal great-great grandparents of my daughter-in-law. Ann married john as Ann Parnell (her step-father's surname) although her birth name was Ann Nurse. Her father's name is not given on her birth certificate. The image also confirmed the date of death of their son Wilfred Briggs. Also on the image is Wilfred's sister Mary who died aged 2 in 1885 (I think) but the image is not clear enough to make out the details. Can you help with this? Again, many thanks. Paul.

LONGDENIncorrect Link - now correctedMary Longden, deceased 1816 age 25, is linked to a Gravestone for John Watson and family and listed as 1st wife of Benjamin named thereon. His death is itemised on the stone as 27 Feb 1919 age 75. This is clearly not a correct link. Mary, maiden name not known, is understood to be the 1st wife of a Benjamin Longden, albeit with connections to Hope, Derbyshire. .... more

WOODHAMSFantastic ResourceHave only just discovered this resource, which is fantastic at bringing the past to your computer. Very helpful response by Charles Sale to my request for better image and also provided other information about the project that I was unaware of. It is heartwarming to find people like Charles giving up their time and resources to help others research their family history. Thank you very much indeed.

ROBSONGenealogy in a nameAmazing how much genealogy a name and dates can open up. Robert Robson is not very unique but his wife Evelyn Winifred Boys Dickson tells her mothers surname 'Boys' and makes it easy to locate her with her parents John Henry Dickson and her mother Edith Mary Naomi Dickson. Their marriage confirmed the mother's maiden name 'Boys'. So very helpful! Thanks for this fantastic service.

NORMANNORMAN & SHAPTONThis wonderful resource has helped me untangle a few knots in my family tree where my ancestors had the same names recurring multiple times. Since I can't visit these cemeteries in person, I really appreciate this resource.

19/04/20165673
KIRKHANNAH KIRKThank you for providing this great resource. In studying the grave stone of Hannah Kirk (GPR grave number 17344) it appears to me that Walter and Evelina are the parents of Frederick not of Hannah. It turns out this is not the Hannah Kirk I am looking for but I very much appreciate your work.
