KELLThanks & possible mistake in Anthony Kell's inscriptionMany thanks for this, not the 1st image you've sent me. Although the burial date for Anthony looks like 1803, it's recorded in Bishop's Transcripts (with a clear image on Familysearch) as: 'Anth: Kell of ChesterleStreet Blacksmith (d) Sep 12th (bur) Sep 15. 1805 (age) 66 Years' (he was probably 63.)

GILLETTThank you for sending the photo of the gThank you for sending the photo of the grave of Ada Gillett. It is difficult for health reasons for me to visit graveyards etc any more so it was most helpful. I made a mistake with the information I gave you, Ada was a daughter of a half brother of Adolphus not a son. It was helpful with the other information listed. Edwin was her husband and the other three her daughters. Are these names also on the kerbstone? Apart from what I have found from record offices and on line I have not been able make any contact with any ancestors of the half siblings of Adolphus so if any one does make a request for this image I would be pleased to know. I have quite a few photos taken over the years I would be happy to share with you if you would let me know how I could send them to you.Thank you once again. Frnk

MITCHELLMitchellsI have just come upon your site and I must say I am blown away. I live in Quebec Canada so for me searching for my Mitchells in England Cornwall and Sussex is extremely difficult. I am finding this site extremely helpful and know from personal experience how difficult this work is as my cousin and I took on the cleaning and repairing of our home cemetery which had been left in a disgraceful state. I have been searching for my Mitchells for a long time and have found a lot of pertinent information and this site can only add I hope to the material I have already found or confirm some I am not sure off. Thank-you for all the effort you have put into this site. Margaret Mitchell

Secret graves between the church and the rectoryI had occasion some time ago to be shown where these graves were when researching the Gee family. They are very overgrown now with vegetation and I wondered if clearance is likeley in the future.

HATTONJohn SterlingYour image of what I believe is my Grt Grt Grandfathers monument has a John Sterling on it which you state you have no idea of the relationship. I notice from the picture John Sterling's wife is Rebecca Sterling Thomas' mother was called Rebecca I believe and his father William died before 1839 as Thomas' marriage certificate says so. It is possible she remarried and may also be why Thomas moved to Stockton at some point though I am not absolutely certain. My Grt Grandfather John, his son, was born around 1845 in Wales but was in Stockton by 1861 I believe. Thank you for the image you may have opened up a new line of enquiry for me.
