HOULDENUnexpected delight.Thankyou very much for such a quick response to my request for the headstone photo of Martin Houlden. It caused a great deal of excitement and emotion as 'Martha', the other person on the headstone, is in fact, Maria, my grgrgrandmother. She is wife to James Houlden - also named on the headstone, and niece by marriage to Martin Houlden. Perhaps this could be updated and corrected sometime. Again, many grateful thanks.

WARDA wonderful resource - thank you so much!Thank you for responding so quickly and providing such high-quality images. My ancestors were not wealthy people, and there were very few photographs taken of them during their lifetime. It means a lot to me to be able to see these images, which help to illustrate my family history. I feel inspired to make the journey to visit these graves next summer.

SPENDLOVEThetford gravesThe entry for John Simpson Spendlove is incorrect. He died in 1852, not 1832. Therefore his DOB is 1791. The grave next to this one has his father, the clockmaker and keeper of the gaol, John Spendlove (1743-1817), yet does not seem to have been photographed. .... more

LARAMANResearching the Laraman's from Faversham and WhitstableI would be so interested to link up with any fellow researchers working on the Laraman's from Whitstable or Faversham. I have fairly good data drawn from census etc, but it would be fascinating to know if any distant relatives are still local for me to liaise with. I thank anyone who is kind enough to take the time to respond. My connection is that my great grandfather married a Laraman from Whitstable. Thanks again. Laurence

GAINEAn unexpected breakthroughI couldn't believe my luck when this site popped up when randomly put a name into Google. In researching my family history I began knowing literally nothing except my father's name, but the gravestone image helped me link to another family branch many miles away and revealed the unusual married name of a great aunt I'd never have found any other way - she evidently married abroad. Thanks for your intriguing hobby!

GRAHAMChristopher Graham and kin memorial in St. Saviour's DartmouthThank you for making this high resolution image available. I was able to add a little to the details of those mentioned on the stone. The details for the person named at the bottom of the stone, Richard Furneaux Weekes, were not clear on this image, as is often the case for such entries closest to the ground. But a clearer image was found on Google earth's resource and the details found there have been added to correct some errors in the entry here.
