| CREES | John & Frances CREES, St Nicholas's Churchyard, Charlwood, Surrey | Being able to read the inscription on my great grandparents' gravestone in St Nicholas's Churchyard, Charlwood was most helpful. The surname was correctly spelt CREES whereas her entry in the GRO Death Index is CRESS. In the Charlwood Burial register it was written CRESS but was then deleted and replaced by CRERS. | BRAND | Photograph of Headstone | What a wonderful resource! I have been researching my family tree since 1995 but was not aware that this facility existed. My father was born in England and came to New Zealand when he was just 16 years old. I never had the opportunity to meet my grandparents (his parents) so I was amazed when I was able to download a photo of my grandmothers headstone.
