Joseph and Isabelle LandauThe photographs of the graves of Joseph and Isabelle Landau (nee Poliakoff) exceeded my expectations. I had not anticipated the Greek columns and statues in a Jewish burial place, but they exhibited the extraordinary wealth of the family. Having read about Isabelle's marriage to Joseph in the diaries of her cousin Zinaida Poliakova, seeing a physical grave site made the stories all the more concrete and real. Your work is invaluable and much appreciated. Since I cannot travel to France at this time to visit the cemetery, this was the next best thing. Thank you so much for sending me these remarkable photographs.

IMISONAcknowledgement of receipt of imageThank you for the image of the grave of Jane Marshall (1907). There is a name on the grave Maria Imison who I think may be connected to my Imison family who moved from Yorkshire to Northumberland. Census records show that she is the sister of Jane Marshall and was also married so it is her husband who I need to find. Thank you.

FREESTUNDisplaying entries for different spelling?Hi CharlesThis is a wonderful resource, and fantastic to find. Thank you so much. It's very disappointing that anyone would abuse such a website.I'm wondering why there are a lot of entries for my family 'Freestun' which are listed as Freeston. While there may be links and misspellings, if a gravestone says Freestun, could it not be listed as such.I expect this is a huge job, and would be happy helping you, by identifying gravestones incorrectly listed. .... more

HAMONDHerbert Henry HammondThank you very much for a great service. I remember taking flowers to my grandfather's grave in Swilland churchyard with my grandmother more than 50 years ago. I have lived in the North West for many years, but I have often thought about going back. We are in Suffolk for a few days now and I was looking for Swilland Church on the internet when I discovered the link to your site. Within seconds an image of my grandfather's gravestone appeared on the screen. Yesterday we went to Swilland Church and saw the actual gravestone. I am sure we wouldn't have found it without your service.

FOSBERYCorrection to GPR dataWith the help of a photographic image I was able to locate the grave in Gunton St Peters Churchyard. I could then establish that the first name on the website data sheet was spelled incorrectly. Instead of Georgina Emily Adeline Fosbery (1885 - 1974) it should be Georgiana Adeline Fosbery. Many thanks to Gravestone Photographic Resource. BS .... more
