I am researching the WW1 fallen in Ware I am researching the WW1 fallen in Ware Herts as it is the 100 year anniversary. I have a book Our Boys -Ware and it list I think maybe all the sad young men you have for Ware. I went to the cemetery as it just around the corner with the book and found many of the graves including WW2. One that stuck out was in a village up the road to ware High Cross. A man who was called Leake and he was in the Boer War and was a surgeon and managed to get into WW2 via France. He got A VC twice and I think there is only three people that have these. I think it is a fitting tribute to be able to do this.

MASONRobert MasonThank you to the gravestone inscriptions volunteers - I have looked for Mason men from South Queensferry & noticed the age of Robert in the 1851 census was not inline with your record. His birth year there was recorded as 1796 & Helen was 1800. He does look to be too young for Helen with your date and I guess the stone was worn or weathered ?

CROSSA very valuable Family History ResourceThanks for your wonderful web site, it has helped to fill in so many gaps about which areas relatives spent their final years in, and confirms years of work my families. I really appreciate it. My mother in law was over the moon to see a photo of her grandparents gravestone which she hadn't been able to find for years, despite her knowing which large cemetery it was in. Thanks again for all your work and the excellent quality of the photographs.
