PILBEAMThank youThank you for posting these photos. I found an English ancestor of my mother in law, and will be able to use the photo for a family history book I am putting together for her as a birthday present. She is descended from Pilbeams from Withyham, and would be interested to hear from anyone else searching this family.

BARNACOATWrong relationship assumption.I was delighted to find the gravestone of my G-G-Grandfather and along side was a female of similar age and with the same surname. I guessed sister or sister-in-law. I was totally wrong. A little more digging and I realized that it was his first wife. What a great site this is.

Date of death of Margaret Drummond, nee MunroThank you for opportunity to look at image of Munro gravestone. I am certain that this lady died on 23rd july 1853. There is a death notice in The Aberdeen Journal, Wed, 3rd Aug 1853. This would make her birth year 1777 which is more in keeping with the age of her husband, George Harley Drummond. By mistake I entered this comment in the monument details. You might want to verify my comment before changing the record.

RANDALLAn extremely useful sourceThank-you very much for the Randall gravestone picture this is a unique service particularly as this information will and is beginning to die through decay of gravestones or churchyards! You have my admiration for the time and, yes, cost that you must give to this service. If I thought that I could devote some time to photographing our local church I would but I would not want to start something which I could not finish. The number of gravestones here is quite daunting. Again many thanks .... more

GOODEGOODE/LUKE/THOMAS/WILLIAMSMany thanks for the prompt return of the gravestone image I was searching for. At the present time it looks like the details don't fit the people I was researching as they're buried far from their living base in Wales. Have kept the image though in case further details show they did move further afield. Julie
