HARRISONThis siteThank you so very much for doing this good work. It is so important for research purposes as well as for family comfort. One caveat however . . when I tried to enter information for #340010, it would only allow me to enter notes not birthdate or anything else. At least the notes gave me a chance to identify this interesting woman of the past for others to see. Super job!

MANLEYLocation of a GraveMy great great aunt Eliza Katharine Manley nee Francis married Col. Henry Manley and they lived in India. Eliza Katharine Manley died in 1855 at the age of 27 in what appears to be Saucor, India. I believe that she may be buried there and I would like some direction in locating her grave.

LIVESEYRequest for the photo of a TombstoneMy friend in Australia was born with the name Livesey and her Grandparents are buried in the Manchester General Cemetery. She constantly tells me she would love to see if there is a headstone for them.I am compiling her Family History for her 82nd Birthday in December and I would love to give her the surprise of a photo of the headstone if there is one.I have checked the grave details which are I think in the Southern Section of the Cemetery. Grave 5033 1 ROBERT LIVESEY and his wife 5033 4 MARY ANN LIVESEY. My friend has no way of getting to England herself so I would really appreciate if this could be made possible. Many thanks in anticipation for your help....Heather

BARNACOATWrong relationship assumption.I was delighted to find the gravestone of my G-G-Grandfather and along side was a female of similar age and with the same surname. I guessed sister or sister-in-law. I was totally wrong. A little more digging and I realized that it was his first wife. What a great site this is.

MIDDLETONThank youMany thanks to Charles and this website for such a useful and time saving resource. When I needed details of a grave in Alford the town council wanted £20 just to look it up on their already computerised system. This site is totally free and also supplied me with a superb photo of the grave stone thus eliminating the need to travel and locate. Good luck for the future with this fantastic enterprise.

SUTHERLANDRe: Alexander Sutherland, died 1831 Ref 26634Unfortunately, this Alexander was not an ancestor of mine, although they were born and died about the same times - and both were occupied by publishing (mine was a bookbinder). This Alexander was: Alexander Sutherland, Author, Editor of the Edinburgh Observer and a Lieutenant in the Forfar Militia. He wrote Tales of a Pilgrim, History of the Knights of Malta and other works. He was born in Edinburgh on 31 Mar 1794, the son of John Sutherland and Janet Adams and died on 30 Jun 1831, age 37. He married Elizabeth Sutherland - the daughter of yet another Alexander Sutherland - and Mary Dallas, on 29 May 1825. They had three daughters: Helen Stuart Sutherland, b. 2 Apr 1826; Mary Elizabeth Sutherland, b. 31 Dec 1828 and Alexandrina Sutherland, b. 2 Jul 1831. The last mentioned born just two days after his death... poor Elizabeth!Regards,Norman Sutherlandnrs3577@gmail.com
