GATESGates Family - JAMES GATESOn your website, someone has added a comment that James was the Pastor of Old Church in Cliffe. James was a Cordwainer so I would like to know by who, and why this comment was added. I know that is children were all christened in Jireh Chapel so it only surprised me when I read this comment. SR Gray

TITLEYAnthony Titley 1,2 and 3, Mary Titley (nee Hage)Thank you so much for your rapid reply and the photo. In Adelaide, South Australia, where I come from, headstones are automatically removed after just 50 years if the lease is not renewed and all that wonderful history is lost. I am also wondering where Thomas Addison Titley ((1823-1888), the son of Anthony Titley (1780-1845) is buried. Thanks again, Sharon

MANSFIELDThank you for your dedicated workI was so pleased to receive the photograph and details of my maternal grandfather's grave. My mother never knew where he was buried as she was only three years old when he died and this information was never given to her. I made a promise to her that if it was at all possible I would try and find out for her, so promise fulfilled with your help, thank you.

RANDALLAn extremely useful sourceThank-you very much for the Randall gravestone picture this is a unique service particularly as this information will and is beginning to die through decay of gravestones or churchyards! You have my admiration for the time and, yes, cost that you must give to this service. If I thought that I could devote some time to photographing our local church I would but I would not want to start something which I could not finish. The number of gravestones here is quite daunting. Again many thanks .... more

COOPERCOOPER/NEWMAN/SIMMONS/HOLLANDThanks for allowing quick access to several requested images. No one knows how long digital images will survive but having visited many cemeteries where monumental inscriptions have long since eroded away to leave blank headstones, it is vital that more and more photographs are taken to record the inscriptions now and show the current condition of headstones for future generations, especially as cemeteries fill up and controversially local authority councils in the U.K. are drawing up plans for plots to be reused.

GOODEGOODE/LUKE/THOMAS/WILLIAMSMany thanks for the prompt return of the gravestone image I was searching for. At the present time it looks like the details don't fit the people I was researching as they're buried far from their living base in Wales. Have kept the image though in case further details show they did move further afield. Julie

Church in ChristchurchMy Dean family relatives were born and raised in Christchurch Hampshire (now Dorset?) and my great grandmother passed away when in her early 30's. She had her children baptised at St.John the Baptist Church in Moordown, Bournemouth so I assume she would have also been buried there. After making the trip from Australia and visiting the graveyard it was impossible to know where to begin to find a memorial. I am just wondering if this church may be on your list of future projects or whether you can offer any advice how I may do research online (which has yielded nothing so far) Many thanks .... Kris

NICOLLTHE NICOLL FAMILY, ARBROATH, SCOTLANDAny information on this family, who lived in the St Vigeans area of Arbroath, will be much appreciated. My interest lies in the descendants of David and Bryce Nicoll (nee Barrie) and their children. I know of George Griffith, David, William and Frederick. I am not sure if there were any female siblings but it would be good to know if there were. Any help or gravestone photographs will be much appreciated.
