RICHARDSONResearchThankyou for supplying a photograph of my paternal Grandmother's headstone and that of another which may have been her husband's brother, as yet to be confirmed. I would also like to say thankyou for the promptness in which my requests were dealt with. You and your team's work have saved me an awful lot of leg work! Great resource which will be even better with continued additions.

CATHERINEQUICK HELP NEEDEDMy half sister is buried in England at St.Michaels cemetary. She was 6 months old when she died. Her name is Catherine Ruth ???? (working on getting the last name now). My mom is not well to travel and has mentioned that it makes her sad to think of what that grave might look like now since no one is taking care of it (mom was in the Navy- this is over 50 years ago). Catherine was born on 10/21/1958 and died April 1959. My moms birthday is early next week and I thought what a wonderful gift to find the stone have someone photo it as is, clean it up and maybe plant a flower and photo it again. Is there anyone over there in England willing to help me out? I live in the US. PLEASE HELP. Thank you. Deb

THORNTONThomas Thornton GravestoneHi Charles, I'd like to thank you for making the picture of Thomas Thornton's grave available to me. Thomas was born in 1838, his mother died in 1844 and his father in 1849. He was one of seven children who were farmed out to different relatives after the deaths of their parents. Thomas qualified as a Master Seaman in 1868. He married Rebecca Whiteside in Fleetwood in 1873. I couldn't find a death for Thomas either locally or through the national BMD's. Your photograph revealed a rather sad tale however, that he had died in March 1876 and was buried in Rio de Janerio. His only child, Edith Annie was born just three weeks later. Unfortunately, Rebecca his wife also died a month after childbirth in the May of 1876. Best regards Colin

UPCHERUpcher family of Sheringham and Buxton Family of CromerI am very grateful to find such a site. Geneology has become a huge industry so glad there still some places where one can get good information for free. I am trying to fill in some of the blanks with the different branches of the family. My granny made a family tree out in 1935 with the help of a local vicar going back 26 generations. I´m a British ex-pat been living abroad for 35 years so hard to research from afar. Directly decended to a few Norfolk families, Upchers of Sheringham, Vale and Buxtons from Cromer. Thanks again.

GRAVERUsefulnessThis is a very useful resource tool when it is difficult to get to places. There are not many gravestones to members of the Graver family as they were very poor [mostly from the workhouse in Docking], but Easter Graver I suspect, was quite well off.
