BONWICKMany thanksMany thanks for the excellent photo of my ancestors MI on the wall of St.Peter & St.Paul church Lingfield. I had tried to photograph it back in 1991 but the shadows from a nearby tree rendered it all but useless to read the inscription.

HODGSONAn amazing 'free' resource! Had chanced An amazing 'free' resource! Had chanced upon the site previously, and lately uploaded a few of my own images. However, this was the first occasion I'd requested information, which was dealt with promptly and professionally, putting many 'paid' sites to shame. I for one now wish to get involved on a more regular basis and look forward to being able to contribute to growing the database - I'm sure it will reap benefits for my own research. Could I urge all casual viewers to likewise take the plunge, or at least give the GPR the widespread publicity it deserves.

DURRANDDURRAND/GUNNI have been researching my mother's family tree. She was the grand-daughter of James Durrand/Elizabeth Gunn from Wick and daughter of their son Charles. Was wondering if any of their descendants are interested in providing some family history. My mother and her siblings are now deceased and I am not acquainted with any other directly related Durrands. They lived in Glasgow. My mother immigrated to the US in 1961; where I presently reside. Thanks!

On his death certificate it just says skull injury but nothing more. Again, I do appreciate all your work. I did notice, however on the one page "The Men who died building the Fourth Bridge" they have his name as Hum Smith without the e.

PARKINWonderful Resource for Family Historians!I stumbled on this website by accident and am very impressed. Gravestones particularly are a great resource for family history and with so many graveyards being cleared it is very important to have a record of who was buried there. Keep up the good work !
