TURNER | HELEN TURNER | Hi
I hope someone can help with my request. I am looking to see if i can get a photograph of my mum's gravesite.
Her name is Helen Turner and she is buried in Loaninghill cemetery in Uphall, west Lothian, Scotland.
I do not have a grave number, but her grave can be located by walking into the front gate and following the path to your right. Walk around until you are at the top of the cemetery, my mum's grave is located on the left hand side.
She was 49 years old and passed away in december 1993. Her grave has a garden ornament of a st.bernard dog placed on it.
I really do hope someone can help, it would mean a great deal to me, as i now live overseas and am unable to visit in person.
Many Thanks. .... more | 14/06/2012 | 2638 |

HOBSON | St Michael and All Angels\' Church, Headingley | I was hoping to find photos of gravestones for Faith Hobson, dau of Joseph of Woodhouse and Elizabeth Hobson (nee Wright), wife of Joseph of Woodhouse Lane. These are mentioned on the website for yorkshirecdbooks for Headingley, but not on GPR website. The Hobsons were stonemasons so there should have been at least one stone but may be illegible as Joseph was buried in 1830 and Faith and Elizabeth a little before that. I am trying to find the birth date and place of Joseph Hobson. If anyone can help in any way I would be really grateful.Chris | 26/05/2012 | 2595 |
PHIPSON | Thank you! .... and further information if possible | Hello Charles. Many thanks for providing such a speedy response to my request for an image of Thomas Lamb Phipson's gravestone. Images always help to bring my Family Tree 'to life'. Greatly appreciated!
I have one query, about another gravestone, if you don't mind me asking. While researching another branch of my Family Tree, I discovered, to my horror, that the gravestones in Walthamstowe Cemetry in Essex have been very poorly cared for by the local council & most are missing, with the grave plots having been sold to other, unrelated members of the public! This featured a fews years ago in a newspaper article in the 'Observer' about Council neglect! So, Grave Number 3624A which contained the remains of 2 of my ancestors viz Emily (Wellington) Low (buried 1877) and Edgar Wellington Low,has now been resold to another family. What's more, they have no idea where my family's remains are now, and they say that the gravestone has just 'gone'! Shocking to me! Do you know any more about this particular Cemetry's way of handling things, or about how I can find out more about the people who were originally buried there & their headstones? How could they just 'disappear'? | 22/05/2012 | 2589 |

BREWSTER | Request for volunteer in Nottinghamshire | Greetings,
I am looking for a volunteer who would be willing to take photographs and information from Brewster graves or monuments in Scrooby, Nottinghamshire. BREWSTER | Special Request for volunteer in Essex | Greetings,
In addition to several requests for grave stone photos in Essex and Suffolk I am submitting, I do have a special request. At one time, the Brewster family had built Wrentham Hall in Wrentham, Suffolk and commissioned a stained-glass or painted window to be built within the hall that displayed many generations of Brewster marriages. The window had, reportedly, 12 Coats of Arms upon it, information I gathered from an ancestor's journal from the 1800s.
Wrentham Hall was demolished at some point in the 1800s, and the family supposedly moved the window to Greenstead Hall (formerly Halstead Lodge) in Halstead, Essex. From what information I can glean, it seems that this hall is located on Church Road, appx. 0.7 km south from Colchester Road (A1124).
I was hoping to find a volunteer who would be so gracious as to find the hall and see if the window still exists. I would love to have a photograph of it, and any other information related to it. Should the volunteer need additional assistance locating the hall, I do have several old photographs of the residence. Feel free to email me at any time at awbrewster@cox.net. Thank you very much! | 02/01/2012 | 2178 |

I am looking for volunteers to collect photographs and information from Brewster grave stones in the following towns:

In addition, I am looking for a photo of any buildings still remaining where my ancestor's home, Wrentham Hall, was. I believe it was torn down in the 1800s but even a photo of the lot would be nice. | 02/01/2012 | 2177 |
