BRUSEYThanks Úna Brusey was indeed my first cousin and we shared the same name so I was most interested in finding out all I could about her. Your resource is most interesting and I would be interested in photographing memorials but cannot at the moment due to ill health. Thank you once again.

CHALLISThank youResearching ancestry from the other side of the world has been assisted with this great resource. The names and dates from the headstones provide great validation. The headstones photos then add a personalised connection, above the value of the information on them. Thanks to Charles and all of the volunteers! Phil

MILLERMILLER/WARD/STIFFELL/SURMANThis is a fantastic resource and fills a gap in presently available genealogical resources. I never expected to be able to see a family gravestone from Wick, Caithness. Than you Charles and all your volunteers.

HARBORDThank you!I would very much like to thank Mr. Charles Sale and the volunteers who take photographs to leave on Mr. Sale's website. Without your help, we might never see the graves of our ancestors and I, as well as many others I am sure, are extremely grateful for all the time and efforts that are donated. Thank you once again.

ALMONDAlmondThank you so much for the grave of William Almond. This is an excellent resource. I have just spent two days pondering the image and after more research I have come to the conclusion that the date on the grave for Elizabeth Almond, wife of William, is wrong. She actually died in December 1869. I have found the parish record for her burial at St Peter's. She is on the 1861 census. I can only assume that her name was added later and either the family or the engravers got it wrong! I must take a trip to Morley to check it out. Thanks again for such a good service.

MITCHELLThank youMany thanks for the speedy reply of the photo. The photos are very clear making it much easier to read as the inscriptions can be very worn. Excellent service that I would recommend to all those searching for the final resting place. Which isn't easy!! Thank you once again.

BRIDLEJames William BridleI have been trying to locate the grave of my Gt Grandfather who died in Dec 1890 in Penzance. I was given the information that he is interred at Penzance Cemetery in Cornwall (retired coastguard) and that he was buried No 9 section - J 5 in that cemetery. Would you know whether these graves have been photographed and if so where I may look to find them. many thanks, Norm

DEARLETranscription ErrorThe Staines St. Mary's Parish Register shows Mary Dearle buried the 23 of August 1823 and the photo shows that it could well be a "3" and not a "5". That would make her birth year 1797 and her burial year 1823. Please correct - THANKS! .... more

JAMESMystery solved! For over 50 years I have harboured a vague childhood memory of my father travelling to North Devon for the funeral of "great aunt Rose". I have now identified her as my grandmother's cousin. To see her gravestone has brought my quest around full circle. Many thanks, Charles, for making that possible.

POTTERHusband of ElizabethIf you read the inscription carefully you will note that the Thomas Potter mentioned comes from Manchester. This is indeed the case and he is mentioned in the context of the burial of his wife Elizabeth. He, himself, went on to live until 1845 and was buried with his second wife in Ardwick Cemetery - vault 498. The only other person buried in this grave is Lucy Potter the infant daughter of Thomas's brother, William. See my previous comment.

RARITYWrong RarityToday I requested an image, but misread the details of the William Rarity on the grave. That William Rarity could well be a relative, since MY William Rarity was also born in Kirkliston. But my gg Grandfathers were born in 1824 and 1855.Regards Doreen Greenhalgh
