KNOWLESFinding familyWhat a wonderful service you offer, finding information about ancestors who had gravestones is like them speaking to us from the past and telling us a little of their lives and travel around the country and perhaps a little of the trials and tribulations that they faced. And giving them a voice into the future. Thank you Heather

BOTTERILLWonderful siteFeeling very fortunate this evening to have discovered images of 2 gravestones for 4 of my GGGGrandparents on the site. A huge help to my research. Thank you. In both cases the wives had died in a different area to their husbands & I had not known they were buried together. I also had been unsure of the wives exact date of death. Thank you Mr Sale for creating such a wonderful website.

SANDERSONRequest for photos of gravesites near Blackpool, LancashireHello, I am attempting to locate photo images of the gravesites of my mother's family in the area near Blackpool, Lancashire, primarily at St. Chad, Poulton le-Fylde; St.Michael, Weeton; St. Paul, Marton;, and All Hallows, Bispham (in that order of priority). Does anyone know of attempts to photo survey the gravestones in these church cemeteries? Or, is anyone willing to help take this on as a project? (I unfortunately live in the U.S. so not available to do so myself). The two main families I am interested in are Sanderson, & Penswick. Any help is much appreciated. thanks -Rob

TURNBULLTURNBULL/HILL-SCOTTI am most appreciative of your reply and the image it contains. I fell on gravestone photos by accident - a serendpidous event as it happens. It is a marvellous service that you provide. It deserves wider recognition - even 3rd party funding. There are many blanks in my ancestral knowledge - now there is one less. Thank you for your help in providing a major stepping-stone. G C TURNBULL

SIMPSONRobert Woodliffe SimpsonThank you so much for sending along the photograph. I was truly amazed that on the other side of the world there was someone who snapped a photo of the headstone of my great-grandfather. It has helped me in tracing my family roots. One note - it is listed as Robery Woodliffe Simpson on the web - it should be Robert. Again - many thanks.
