GOODEllen Good - Quambatook CemeteryDear Reader, the indexed date for this burial is 1956. However, in the description, it says that she is from Longford county: the problem is that these two pieces of information do not match. I have downloaded the picture, but it is not clear enough to be able to read. I do however, have a description of what is written on the gravestone, and there are no other people of the same name in the cemetery. It will e irresponsible of me to just put two n' two together, without determining the facts first.

Excellent so farThis has been a real help, but I think there should be links to other sites where photos can be found. For example: theus.org.uk/category/find-grave scottishjewishcemeteries.org/search.html Of course,it would be wonderful if more graves could be photographed. The one I found Sylvia Bellman in had only been 10% photographed.

DENHOLMD J Denholm War Memorial Port StanleyI was overwhelmed to see a source for a DJ Denholm. I have been searching for information on my grandfather for over 10 years. I'm not sure if I have found him but it gives me hope. My mum died in 2010 not knowing very much about him as her mum died in 1933. Thank you Barbara

SAMPSONAdditional informationRobert Sampson Grave at Barnsley The photo does not show the full headstone so some of this extra information may actually be on the headstone .According to the burial records published by.Barnsley Cemetery the grave number is L242. The occupants are Robert Sampson of Pitt St buried 25/06/1863 William Henry Sampson of Quarry St buried 13 May 1885 Mary Clark Sampson of Quarry St buried 24 May 1885 Albert Victor Sampson of Summer St buried 23 Mar 1888 The above 3 were grandchildren of Robert and children of Robert’s son Alfred and wife Eliza Eliza Sampson buried 9 Nov 1911 - wife of Alfred. THOBURN Cha? Thorburn listing correction and info: ThoburnThe name on the gravestone is “Rachael wife of John Thoburn”. She was recorded in the 1841 census for South Tanfield along with her husband. I do not know what month the census was taken, but she evidently died the same year. John Thoburn remarried in 1842 to Elizabeth Smith, whose family lived in the next dwelling. The Thoburns and at least a couple of the Smith family immigrated to Johnstown, PA, USA in 1853.

PALMERConflation of two individuals named John PalmerMonument to Mary Bathurst in Bishops Lydeard, listed as 541734 & 530620 (I believe this is a duplication) The monument mentions Dr John Palmer, Warden of All Souls, first husband of Mary Bathurst. The monument also commemorates John Palmer esq., son of Mary and Dr John Palmer. It is the son's death gate that is given as March 15th 1689.
