STAFFORDJames McLean StaffordRegarding the monument which shows information for James McLean Stafford. He is not physically in this grave. James is one of the thousands of Australian soldiers from World War 1 whose final resting place is unknown. The inscription is a memorial to his life. He was killed in a ferocious battle at Amiens on the Somme on 5th April, 1918.

DAVISHeadstone.Thank you so much for this excellent website. The image is so clear and although the facts concerning the relevant dates on the headstone are slightly misleading in terms of accuracy, purely because whoever erected it did not know, it gives enough information to know that this is the grave of my great aunt Margaret Davis nee Donnelly.

27/03/201910069

ALLENMany thanksI wish this valuable resource a very long and active life! Herbert Stanley WHEELER's dates on his wife Vera's gravestone in Woodbridge cemetery have enabled me to locate his origins. The inscription also indicates that she was a mother and grandmother, giving me more generations to be traced.

BENSONGrave of Christopher & Mary BENSON nee GRAYTruly a magnificent free to use website that I've just used for the first time! The image I requested of the BENSON grave was great to see, especially being a better quality image than the thumbnail. In case another person has a link to these people which appear in my family tree I mention the following comments - ‘Christopher BENSON married Mary GRAY 07 Dec 1807 St Peter Leeds YKS. Mary was bpt 24 Feb 1788 St Peter Leeds, daughter of Henry GRAY (1762-1835) & Ann SINGLETON (1763-1835/1841?). Mary is a sister to my maternal 4x great-grandfather Thomas GRAY (1807-1838).
