The following graveyards and war memorials have been added to the Gravestone Photographic Resource since 1st January 2010:
A new birth/maiden name list is being developed.
This will allow you to view all the birth/maiden names held in the database.
At present the system is still in development.
It currently lets yo see all of the birth/maiden names held in the database but does not display them.
You can try the the new birth/maiden name list by using the new A-Z list that is displayed in the bottom menu on every page as well as here:

Statistics showing the number of graves, people and requests recieved are now available for every cemetery within the GPR.
On average a volunteer welcome pack is now being sent out to a new volunteer every day. If you want to know more about becoming a volunteer please have a look at the becoming a volunteer page. The volunteers profiles page now shows a map of where volunteers are located within the UK.
Details about how many requests have been recieved is now gradually being displayed on the area pages as well as on individual cemetery pages.
More tips have been added to the photographing grave monuments tips page.
Each country page now displays a list of areas covered by that country and how many cemeteries, graves and names are held within the GPR online database for each of these areas.
A new Partners section has been added the site. There is a link to it on both the top and bottom menus on each page.

The Resource is now working with a number of other websites so that information is shared. An example of this is Old-Timers Municipal Cemetery (Waskatenau, Alberta, Canada). If you look at any particular grave in this cemetery you will be shown a link to another website where the photograph of the monument is stored.
A list of cemeteries to be added to the Resource is now available. All the area pages now show details of cemeteries in that area that are going to be added.
A new volunteers section has been added to the site. This section not only tells you how to become a volunteer but also tells you a bit about some of the volunteers themselves.
The resource has now started to index cemeteries in Spain and Isle of Man.
All the area pages that display lists of cemeteries now show photos of each cemetery if one is available.
The home page now displays details of the latest cemetery added to the site, a "quote of the week" and a "latest news" section.
The UK National Archives February edition the their Ancestors magazine has a two page article about the Gravestone Photographic Resource.
A new comments / feedback / help request system has been added to the website.
The Gravestone Photographic Resource has now added a new online database of genealogical links.
