Stanley Gildersleeves - Looking for some information

I have reason to believe that Stanley Gildersleeves is my grandfather. My mother's family emigrated from England to Canada around 1927. My grandmother would be around the same age as Stanley. My father reported upon my mother's death that her father was Stanley Gildersleeves. My mother's family name was Chiverton and she did not know her father and this information was unknown to her children till she passed. Any background on Stanley and his family would be greatly appreciated.
