James Horn BURNETT, 1801-1876, was a son of Robert Burnett, 1755-1837, and Margaret Dalrymple Elphinstone, 1765-1849. He and his second wife Lauderdale Burnett Ramsay were first cousins. He became the 10th. Baronet of Leys in 1856, went on to become Lord-Lieutenant of Kincardineshire in 1863, and died at Crathes Castle, where he was born, in 1876.
