William Jardine was born in 1783 in Cheshire. He was buried on 21 Sep 1844 at Barnton. Sarah Jardine,(nee Taylor) his wife was born in 1792 in Wakefield. She died at Barnton in the 1860s. They married in 1816 at St. Johns, Wakefield. Eliza Jane Lloyd was born in 1819, eldest daughter of William and Sarah. She married first Joseph Pater and after his death Llewellyn Lloyd which was not a success. She died on 14 Nov 1883. Emily, 3rd daughter b. 1825.
