East India Company William Temple Ethersey was born on the 16th March 1801, Ipswich Suffolk. Parents Richard & Elizabeth Sharp. He was the 1st born child out of a family of 9 children. Married Caroline Blake on the 17th Dec 1829 in Madras India. Died from drowning 13 Feb 1871. His father, Sir Richard was the Commodore of the Persian Gulf Squadron for the British Navy during the War. His brother James, wife & children emigrated to Australia in 1853.
