The follow note is stored against Barnabas Horner record:

Barnabas Horner was born in 1737 at High Bishopside and baptised at Pateley Bridge as Bernard Horner, the seventh child of Thomas Horner. He lived most of his life in Newbridge near Wath and was a farm labourer and linen weaver. He was variously known as Berny, Barny, and Barnaby. He had a son, born in 1775 at Pateley Bridge, who was baptised as Bernard but also known as Barnabas. He had another son called John born and baptised at Pateley Bridge in 1784. John became a tenant farmer at Parceval Hall, near Skyreholme and his parents lived with him there until their respective deaths. Interestingly, they were both buried at Pateley Bridge close to their other children who had died young.
