My name is Sandra Rosen (maiden name Claydon). I am the granddaughter of Albert Edward Self. While he was a young man, and before he was married, he had a baby out of wedlock with Louisa Claydon who lived in Cheveley. The babies name was Owen Claydon (my father). Albert was forbidden by his parents to marry my Grandmother. She gave the baby her maiden name. My grandmother worked for the self family as a house cleaner, when she became pregnant. My father nor I, have ever met, or been in contact with the Self family. I would love to meet my family, and learn about my ancestors. I was raised in Saxon Street, and now (since 1970) live in Idaho, USA.
