While he was a young man, and before he was married, he had a baby out of wedlock with Louisa Claydon who lived in Cheveley. The babies name was Owen Claydon (my father). Albert was forbidden by his parents to marry my Grandmother. She gave the baby her maiden name. My grandmother worked for the self family as a house cleaner, when she became pregnant. My father nor I, have ever met, or been in contact with the Self family. I would love to meet my family, and learn about my ancestors. I was raised in Saxon Street, and now (since 1970) live in Idaho, USA.

Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

This is my Grandfather's Grave. I now live in the US. I never knew my Grandfather. My Grandmother had my dad out of wedlock. Albert was forbidden by his parents to have anything to do with her, or the child (my dad). My grandmother worked as a house keeper for the Self family. Thank you in advance for this picture. I appreciate the work you do so that we can do this sort of research. I am looking forward to finding some living relatives.
