Lance Corporal Walter Bird, commemorated here, is my great uncle, who died in the Battle of the Somme on Sept 10th 1916; it has taken a while to find him but at last I have (and his grave in France too, finally). I am keen to share this with my family. I will be making a donation; thank you for your wonderful, patient and important volunteer work making this possible.
