Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am researching on behalf of the town of Thetford, Norfolk all 117 names that appear on the War Memorial and Alma Woods was the mother of one of the lads from Thetford, lost in the sinking of His Majesty's Troopship Aragon. I am researching these men for the Library Service and the Town Museum. It is not our intention to publish the work, just to make it available as a research tool leading to more in depth study.
