Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

William King, born on the 15 March 1827 in Thetford, is the son of Mary (born Howlett 1788, Cambridgeshire d. 1858, Thetford) and Thomas King (b. 1789 or 1790, Southmoor in Berkshire d. 1869, Thetford). William is the brother of Elizabeth King b. 1829 and half brother of Mary King b. 1820 (who is my third great grandmother) and Ann King b. 1822. William married Susan Snelling (1826 – 1871) and they had nine children; Thomas Snelling King (1851 – 1865) Samuel King (1853 – 1941) William Guiles King (1855 – 1904) Charles King (1858 – 1859) Charles King (1860 – 1927) Alice Dilmore King (1862 – 1886) Alfred King (1864 – 1947) Emma Jane King (1866 – 1930) John King (1869 – 1909) Thank you so much for the care taken in photographing William’s headstone and making it accessible.
