It appears that Captain John Henry Learmonth died on his way home from Cyprus on the SS Osterley. He was chief of police there. The details of his burial are not known- his name may have been added as a memorial to him or he may have been buried here. He was married to my great aunt Annie Louisa Duke in Antigua, West Indies where he was Chief of Police for the Leeward Islands.
