Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested
Alice Maud is the 3rd child of Daniel Robilliard of St Thomas. I'm doing the
genealogy of the Robilliard family. I have all the names, dates of birth of
both families.
I would like this for my files. Harold is their son and he was in 1986 .
I thank you for taking the time to do this. If you enclose an address I will send you a family sheet, if you are interested. It has their date of birth
and death. Thank you, Marlene

Alice is a daughter of the first family. My father in law was of the second
family. Alice went to Victoria when about 18. Her Aunt was there also.
I have the family members names from the beginning to the end?
I appreciate you taking the time to send this. If there are names you think
would be connected I would like to hear from them. I gave you her birth and
death date but did not receive a picture. Thanking you ahead of time, Marlene

I received your email about volunteering... We grow vrgtables for a hospitol
plus have a veg.stand, plus farm market. I cannot do much genealogy in the Summer.
I will gladly help others who are looking for the Robilliard family if
I have it. Most of them were from the St Thomas and London area.
Alice and 3 other girls were born on Guernsey Island. I have the dates.
Harold visited us in 1986 and told me the history of his family.
Several other Robilliards went to Victoria BC
I could not get through to the e mail address you sent for a photo.
Hubert was born in Stony Creek Ontario. I haven't done his line tho I see you have several names (Bedell)
I will copy the names as a history teacher at out library is interested.
Thanks for taking the time to preserve this cemetery by taking pictures.
Only others who do this of their families understand the work involved!
Our genealogy group had members that cleaned up two cemeteries...
Even had our Legistlator help--She cut brush and helped. Another one offered
to get new stones for the Civil War Vets. Great right?
Thanks, Marlene

Harold came to visit us in 1986 and is a "half" nephew of
my father in law. Harold was born in 1902 and Dad was born in 1907
Imagine the surprise for both of these two!
I gave you the information for Alice and for Herbert as I have it
in my Genealogy Robilliard Book. but I have not yet received a picture
of this. It would be nice to have for my book. I share all the information
on the Robilliard's. The family filled out sheets for me of the "first" family
and on the "second" family. Alice also had a Samuel and an Edith . Edith is suppose to be in Mount Ida cemetery and they have no records of her there..... Do you know if the records are kept up to date? Yours seem to be.
I was sure Samuel would be with the parents too. He was b.1901 d.1966.
See I"m very serious about this so any help would be very appreciated!
Thanks, Marlene

Dave,
I thank you for your quick responce.
I went to the site you gave me and it was no longer in use/
Genealogist I know always appreciate it when some one takes
pictures in cemeteries!! We've all seen and been so sorry that this
wasn't done years ago as the writting disappears..
So keep helping history this way for those who get started late
I could just copy what you have but felt it was "cheating" because
I do know the work that goes into this.
Most of the Robilliards (Alice Maud) are in St Thomas Ontario or London
Ontario.
I have enjoyed the work that is put on the internet in Canada. The Libraries are great!!
I started before I had a computor as I wanted to know where these
people lived and I read the history of each place too. I love that!
Again I thank you for your time.
The earlier Bedells were layalist and the first one--Steven went back
to NY. Herbert was born in Stoney Creek Ontario.
Alice Maud was born on Guernsey Island in 1880 just before the family went St Thomas Ontario as John was born there in 1881. There were 4 girls born
on the Island.
Alice and Amy went to Victoria to their Aunt Betsy's as teenagers. Their
Mother died in 1886. Amy went back but Alice had met Herbert and stayed there
in BC.
There are still Robilliards there and I am sent death notices from a
cousin there...also the good things that happen.
Dad loved Canada and he passed that on to us.
Thanks again, Marlene
