His executors were his second wife Emily (nee Miles) and his son Benjamin Samuel Clements of Lessingham. His first wife was Harriet (nee Amess), who appears to have died sometime between the 1851 and 1861 censuses. This is probably a different Benjamin.

Henry was also a widower at the time of the marriage.
