5	Atkinson	Mary Ann Atkinson	1850	40	1890	id: 1160389	66025	47	1	Mary Ann Atkinson was born Mary Ann Lewis in Cardiff, Wales, in late 1849. The daughter of Thomas and Anne Lewis, she moved to Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, sometime between the birth of her siblings Richard in 1851 and Rebecca in 1854, where she remained for the rest of her life. She married Tom Atkinson on New Year's Day 1868, and together they had at least six children, two of whom are also known to be interred in Linthorpe Cemetery: Edith Mary, who died aged three-and-a-half just five months before her mother and lies in the grave directly opposite, and Elizabeth Ann, who died in 1948 and is buried with her husband, William Henry Knott, towards the north-east corner of the site.
		Tom Atkinson								Thomas Atkinson was born in 1844, (reportedly on 14 July), in Middlesbrough to Robert and Elizabeth. After the death of his first wife, Mary Ann, he married a Scottish widow from Glasgow, Mary Watson (nee Connelly) in Middlesbrough in 1891, where he died in 1907.

		Sarah Ann Button	1850	77	1927					born Dowlais Wales. daughter of John Thomas and his wife Gwenllyian (surname not known at present)John Thomas was an ironworker who migrated to Bishop Auckland with his family from Wales(via Scotland!)Sarah Ann married Charles Aaron Button and they had a large family (though a lot of their children died young)Their first children, twin girls were born at Vulcan Street Darlington(home of her in-laws) but both died. She was pregnant with the couples last child when her husband died. This child was named Charles Aaron after his father.Sarahs batchelor brother David Thomas came to live with her and provided for the children after her husbands death.
