She was the wife of James Prince (1791-1736) and helped run an inn at Le Harve, France for officers of the ships in the port. She managed this with her son Alfred and daughter-in-law Ellen. This was also a hotel for wealthy immigrants awaiting ships to America. Alfred provided himself as a guide for the travelers on the ships as well and would travel with them to help get them settled in the new cities, once they arrived. Charlotte is buried with her son Alfred and great grandsons Alfred James III and John Prince.|

Jeannie died 8 years later leaving 4 children: Alfred IV, Charles, Margaret and Phillip George. Alfred remarried Marie Vacherat and they had two more daughters Louise and Annie Jenny.|
