F E Andrews Francis Edward Andrews was born on 4 June 1867 at South Stoke, Somerset. He joined the Royal Horse Artillery in 1889. He eventually became a Battery Sergeant Major before leaving the army to become Malaria Superintentent of Bombay. He died there after falling down a well on 29 September 1909. His burial record said it was an accident but family traditions says he was murdered. His widow Sarah eventually became Matron of the Military Family Hospital in Jutogh.

225107391Commanding 23rd Punjaur Pioneers Charles Francis Falcon Chamberlain was the fourth and youngest son of Sir Henry Chamberlain, 1st Baronet, British Consul-General and Chargé d’Affaires at Rio de Janeiro, and his second wife, Anne Eugenia, the daughter of William Morgan of London. He was born at Baker Street, London, on 11 October 1826,Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Chamberlain died suddenly on 31 October 1870, at Ambala whilst on leave.
