Herbert Gregory1917 Buried at Chili Trench Cemetery, Gavrelle, France - the actual gravestone stating 65136 Private H Gregory, Royal Fusiliers, 29th April 1917. A picture of his wife, Jane Elizabeth Cross, was picked up on the battlefield on that day by another soldier and, because of the writing on the back, it was returned to her after the war.
