BURTON/HALLBURTON AND DERIVATIThanks very much for your help. I am looking form the surname of Burton in the Border areas. The name was Hallyburton in the mid 1800's, when John Allyburton was known as Burton when he was the Sheriff's Officer for Duns and Berwick. We do not know when or where he died. Can any one assist.
Regard to all.
John Burton of Chester Cheshire.
