Family research, I am descended from Romanes family of lauder (and collaterally relatedto the founders of Romanes and Paterson in Edinburgh) and have been interested in family trees of Romanes family. Have two extant trees one from 1854 and one from 1920s. However there are many more Romanes and Romanis in the Edinburgh and borders who we assume are connected but we are still trying to research.appreciate efforts of your band ofvVolunteers who make it possible for me to continue longstanding interest from Australia. Am aware of our family gravestones in lauder churchyard. Help much appreciated.
