Send a message to the person who requested a photo of the grave monument of James Walker with the following comment:

I am searching for my great grandfather James Walker who came to NZ from Edinburgh late 1840's early 1850's. He was a widower when he married Mary Tyack Whitta in Christchurch in 1863. He died in CHCH in July 1875 aged 51. In his death notice it said he was from Edinburgh. Family have always thought he was a remittance man. Can not find him on any shipping lists. His occupation was a Baker. Thanks
