Major General. Nephew of the late John Knottesford Esq of Holdfast who died at his house in Bath and was buried in the neighbouring village of Weston. He had borne a Commission in the Royal Artillery nearly fifty years and during the greater part of that time had been employed on the staff in North America. This monument is erected by his widow in testimony of her sincere affection and attachment.
