Born on 28 June 1835 and was baptised on 13 September 1835 at St Nicholas, Queenhill, Worcs. Son of William Prosser and Frances Grubb. In 1841 and 1851 was living with his parents at Ripple, Worcs, in 1851 was employed as an agricultural labourer. Married Mary Taylor in 1866 at Ledbury and had six children; Frances Ann, Charles Gilbert, William Albert, Henry Ernest, Herbert George and Ada Emma. In 1871 was living with his family at Upton Upon Severn, Worcs, employed as a gardener. In 1881, 1891 and 1901 was living with his family at Holdfast, Worcs, employed as a domestic gardener. Died on 16 May 1904 and was buried at St Nicholas, Queenhill, Worcs, where he has a memorial in the churchyard along with his wife and daughter Frances.
