Barfoot's parents were William and Ann Henton. He was a farmer. He married twice, it appears that he married sisters. His first wife Eliza was born in abt 1833 in Thrussington to William and Ann Arnall. They married in 1858. They had two children William Barfoot Henton was born in 1861 and Eliza in 1865. It appears that Eliza died in childbirth, as both mother and infant deaths registered next to each other. Barfoot in the 1871 census has a wife called Ellen born abt 1839 Thrussington. Eliza had a sister called Ellen. Can't find a marriage registered (using Free BMD).
